4) A great article that highlights our office was recently
published in the nationally distributed medical journal "Professional
Case Management – The Leader in Evidence-Based Practice." The article is titled, "Direct Access - The Best Kept Secret:
A "Seasoned" Case Manager Learns From Personal Experience." It was written by a local attorney, judge, and registered nurse Lynn S. Muller, BS, RN, JD, CCM who experienced physical therapy first hand at our organization. Here are some excerpts:
- "When I walked through the door, I was greeted by name."
- "Each [associate] expressed a commitment to quality care and a genuine interest in their clients. There was an excitement in their voices, a brightness in their eyes, and an enthusiasm about work."
- "I observed therapists completely engaged not only in the care they were rendering but also listening to their clients. Even in the rare case where there are limitations to physical success, there can still be positive benefits to spending time in this therapeutic environment. Each client that
comes for therapy, finds a skilled interested team that will cheer his or her day and help maximize abilities, rather than focus on limitations and obstacles."
- "Dr. Burton's staff is happy and works in an atmosphere of trust and honesty. The philosophy offers hope and opportunity for associates at all levels. Staff is never criticized in negative terms, as there is always a way to present a situation in a more positive light. The result is stress reduction
and, simply, the entire staff
enjoys and looks forward to coming
to work each day. "
